Site Progress Elements: Parent/Child Hierarchy

I would like to suggest a feature for Site Progress that allows us to coordinate on-site assembly with partners using manageable work packages.
For weekly planning, site progress items should be displayed as labels on a planning board, representing work packages like 'Pipe Assembly, Area B01, Cell 03'.
However, for progress measurement, I need detailed elements for each pipe isometry. A parent/child relationship between Site Progress elements could meet both needs, with parent elements representing work packages and child elements representing individual pipes. This hierarchy would enhance flexibility without requiring new structures.
One level of depth would be sufficient for us.
I would suggest to create a new option in Site Progress Types to create such Parent elements. Parent elements do not have their own activities/progress/dates or weights, they only show the information from the child elements.
Currently we solve it via groupings from text fields, but I cannot create reports for these elements nor can I add further information (data fields, notes attachments, tasks,...)

Hello Thomas Gößler - interesting because we created 10 Metadata fields and we are using it exactly for this situation. Did already Florian Altmann show it to you?

Hello Nogueira Itamar, Metadata groups work well for reporting, but they are not our basis for operational planning.
For progress tracking of piping installation works, we use individual pipe isometrics as Site Progress Elements. For daily planning, however, that level of detail is too granular. We need a dedicated LMS element representing a work package such as "Piping Installation - Area B01", not just a group of elements.
This work-package element should be clickable and able to hold its own notes, tasks, attachments and planning information, while deriving its progress from the underlying detailed elements.

Hello Florian Altmann, I am confused. We are using Metadata fields for this data organization and Groups.
